The Shakeyhead (or Shakyhead) is a popular finesse bait in bass fishing. It consists of a light weight jighead built around a light wire hook with a bait lock screw to attach the bait to. The other end of the bait is skin-hooked to create a snag resistant rig. The Shakeyhead is most commonly rigged with a finesse style worm, but can also be rigged with creatures, craws, and other soft plastics. The Shakeyhead can be dragged, hopped, or shaken in place as an enticing offering for hungry bass. While the traditional shakeyhead consists of a light weight jighead, the Power Shakeyhead utilizes a heavier swing-football head with the same finesse worm, allowing the rig to be fished in deeper water more efficiently.
